We have received a number of communications from patients in respect of the COVID-19 vaccination. Our doctors and nurses do not decide who gets the vaccine first. Decisions over priority groups are taken by the UK and Welsh governments based on the recommendations of the Joint Committee for Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). As you can appreciate this is a great task especially when we are being faced with limited supplies from central government.
The practice program is currently administering 2nd dose to patients who had their 1st dose in the practice. Friday 28th & Saturday 29th May we will be holding clinics for patients in an at risk category to receive their 2nd dose. If you received the 1st dose of the covid vaccination in the surgery and have not been invited for your 2nd dose please contact us on 01792 403010. Do not contact the surgery if you had your vaccination through the Mass Vaccination centre they will contact you.
The link below is to the Swansea Bay Health Board website which is updated regularly on the roll out of the vaccination program including their newsletters which have very useful information.
If you haven’t yet had your FIRST vaccine for ANY reason:
Please contact the Health Board booking centre on 01792 200492 or 01639 862323 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Saturday to make an appointment.
