Out of Hours Service (OOH)
Core hours for the surgery are 8.00 am – 6.30 pm Monday to Friday and the Local Health Board have responsibility for providing a service ‘Out of Hours’.
Swansea Out of Hours will therefore provide out of hours cover for our patients requiring the services of a doctor in an emergency only. OOH operate between 6.30pm in the evening until 8.00am the following morning Monday to Friday and weekends from 6.30pm on Friday until 8.00am on Monday morning and during bank holidays.

If you need to see a doctor during ‘Out of Hours’ you will be asked to attend a ‘Primary Care Centre’ which is based in Morriston Hospital. Access to the Primary Care Centre is via Out of Hours and you must telephone the above number initially if you require a doctor ‘out of hours’. Patients telephoning the surgery during out of hours will be given the above number. Patients are however encouraged to contact the surgery during core hours to avoid if possible using OOH or A&E department.
