Study in Primates Finds Acquired Immunity Prevents COVID-19 Reinfections – NIH Director's Blog

We have received a number of communications from patients in respect of the COVID-19 vaccination.  Please note that as yet, the practice has not yet received guidance as to when we will be able to vaccinate our patients.

Our doctors and nurses do not decide who gets the vaccine first. Decisions over priority are taken by the UK and Welsh governments based on the recommendations of the Joint Committee for Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

Once we have received guidance from the Local Health Board, we’ll be offering it to successive age bands of adults. We will contact patients and invite them to the Surgery.

It may take a while to get to everybody. To help the NHS, please wait to be invited.

Therefore, may we kindly request that patients do not contact the practice in respect of the vaccine as we are unable to provide any information at this stage.

Thank you.

We are pleased to inform you that Dr Michael Bull, who has been working with us as a locum GP, has now joined the practice as a “GP Partner” from 1st January 2021.

Dr Bull was born and raised in Swansea. He studied at kings College London and has specialist interests in Care of the Elderly, Immunology and Acute Medicine.

We congratulate Dr Bull on becoming a GP partner at Mumbles Medical Practice.
