Making Appointments - Please see the home page for up to date information on how to request a telephone appointment via askmyGP

diaryThe Mumbles Medical Practice is a partnership and therefore the Doctors do not have individual lists.

Patients have a right to express a preference of practitioner, however, it is preferable for a patient, having seen one doctor for a particular illness to continue to see the same doctor for that illness. This is particularly important with regard to discussing test results.

We offer a range of routine pre-bookable appointments. If a patient needs to be seen urgently on the day they should contact the surgery where they will be offered an appointment time or telephone consultation with the on call GP.

Surgery Times in Mumbles Medical Practice are by appointment only.

Appointment times vary according to each doctor but are generally available between 8.00am and 12.00 noon and between 1.30pm and 6.00pm Monday to Friday. To make an appointment please telephone the surgery on 01792 403010 or 01792 232229 during normal surgery times.

Surgery Times at Murton Health Centre are by appointment only.

Appointment times vary to according to each doctor and are available between 8.00am and 11.40am Monday to Friday. Appointments can be made for Murton by telephoning 01792 232229 or 01792 403010 during surgery opening times.

Please contact the surgery prior to attending the surgery for an appointment.

Patients attending without an appointment will be offered an appointment time when they can be seen.

Waiting room Keeping your appointments

The practice has numerous appointments on a weekly basis that patients do not attend this impacts on the service we can offer to patients. We would therefore like to encourage patients who are unable to keep their appointment to please inform the surery so it can be cancelled and the appointment can then be offered to another patient requiring treatment.

Please ensure you arrive promptly for your appointment if you arrive more than 10 minutes late you have effectively missed your appointment and will be asked to re-book.

GP Appointments are at 10 minute intervals and the GPs make every effort to run to time, however there may be occasions when the GP has to deal with clinical emergencies or complex issues and this could lead to their surgery overrunning.

A&E Department and Out of Hours

The practice has been asked to monitor patients who attend A&E or Out of Hours when they could have received treatment by the practice.

We would therefore request that patients requiring advice or treatment contact the surgery during our core opening hours between 8.00am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
